Mindflyer’s scans from Figure Drawing Session v.1

Was trying out Drewscape’s technique of using a midtone ink brush. I try to nail the figure with the midtones then use a black brush to secure the final shape.

Which brush you used for this one? pretty bold ..nice ones..i was expecting some drawings in your signature style too
For the mid tone I use the water brush filled with diluted Lamy ink as suggested by Drew.
For the shape / Black lines I used a Pentel brush pen bought from Japan. The cartridge ink is waterproof. http://www.amazon.com/Pentel-Pocket-Brush-Pen/dp/B002LJRKN8
I am still trying to let loose like Zid and Drew- still more at home with a wacom and working in private
Would love to whack in my fave style using brush pen soon I hope ;P.
Nice. You’ve captured the little bumps of the muscles and bones. Seems like you could use the black brush immediately rather using the mid-tone lines first. Don’t be afraid of mistakes.
The 2nd one with him reaching the ground looks very cool! Who say you didn’t capture him well???
Wah Zid- thx man! I ll keep trying lah
