OIC PORTRAIT DAY, 1st May 2010, 2 TO 7PM
Strictly on-line registration only !!
Book your OIC Portrait session now! Polish your drawing skills & catch up with your OIC buddies at the same time. OIC’s modus operandi if you don’t know already- Everyone gets 20 minutes to draw the “patron/ sitter” at the same time. You get $10 for each drawing sold . Make it PLAYFUL and COLOURFUL, all skill levels welcomed. OIC Portrait Day is about artists having fun and experimenting with new ways to capture an interesting image.
You don’t have to be an OIC member to take part but you have to register and please read the FAQ. Come and draw, make friends and spread good drawing vibes.

Gryphon Wall
This is a wall mural design for Raffles Institution (See dad, I told you I would leave my mark on a prestigious school someday…). It measures about 3m high. I love working with schools as they aren’t usually fussy and they let you explore and do what you think it’s best, though at a price of a slight pay cut due to school budget! Oh yea, I did the vector logo of the gryphon too. cheers!

PT0902 Tee
Quickie illustration for a friend of mine to be printed as a class tee-shirt for his physiotherapy class. DIY toys is a slightly overused concept but i thought it would be different and appropriate for the subject of physiotherapy. (ie. “Assemble your own figure to show the wonders of human mobility!”) Physiotherapy is all about helping regain/maintain mobility. PT0902 is his class. Oh the overall look is so ripped from you-know-where heh

SKETCHWALK 24th April, 6-9pm – GEYLANG
The upcoming sketchwalk will cover the colourful geylang stretch where there are durian stalls and many busy eateries. We will meet at Kallang MRT station at 6pm and start walking off at 6pm sharp. Then we will move on down the road toward Aljunied MRT station. At 7pm, we will break for dinner at a coffeeshop with good food (you may also find your own food depending on your preferences.) Then we will continue the sketchwalk as a NIGHT sketchwalk. For sketching at night, there will be more dark areas interspersed with colourful bright areas, so do bring black markers or inkbrushes that can colour black spaces fast. We will conclude our sketchwalk at 9pm at Aljunied MRT station. Please call 91070735 if you can’t find us on that day. No need to sign up, just show up on that day.
ps: It is adviseable for female sketches to dress with longer pants and less revealing shirts to avoid being scanned by uncles:) But we will stay away from the sleazy areas nonetheless.
