Gryphon Wall
Posted: April 21st, 2010 | Author: zeropointfive | Filed under: Uncategorized | 3 Comments »This is a wall mural design for Raffles Institution (See dad, I told you I would leave my mark on a prestigious school someday…). It measures about 3m high. I love working with schools as they aren’t usually fussy and they let you explore and do what you think it’s best, though at a price of a slight pay cut due to school budget! Oh yea, I did the vector logo of the gryphon too. cheers!
Update: This is how the design looks on the tiled wall

Nice work Elvin
– but why is the layout so newletter/ magazine-ish?
Thanks mike! Ya u’re right very magazine layout! It’s because the entire wall is separated into 16 rectangular tiles so I had to lay the whole visual out in this way to avoid the cracks in between the tiles cropping important parts (eg. the big gap in the middle of the text is due to a 2cm gap running through it) i had no choice but to lump all the text together lol
Update: adding the tiled wall version heh. they also wanted it fairly clean so the gryphons would stand out. Would’ve been nice to have been able to make the background more funky tho heh
