Our friend Miel ( yes that famous and very humble one ! )  is having a special event at the National Museum- do check it out!

(below info clipped from museum website)

CARTOON MURAL
By Cartoonist Miel (Singapore)
FRI 14 MAY 2010 – SUN 30 JUN 2010 | 10am – 6pm

Contribute your memories on this panoramic cartoon mural by artist and cartoonist, Miel.  Illustrating the events, people and places from Singapore’s past, present and future, the mural is a time machine that can bring you back to the Kampong days, with street hawkers and amusement parks and then to the futuristic shopping malls, skyscrapers and more. This project is an interactive platform for parents, grandparents and educators to pass on personal stories of the past to their young, and build new memories inspired by the drawings on the mural.

Meet the artist session
SAT 12 JUN 2010 | 2pm – 5pm

Miel will be present to interact with public members and to facilitate contributions from the public to the mural. First come, first served basis. Artist will take a break for 15 mins after every 45 mins session.
