Hi Drawers and serial doodlers- come sign up and join us for another crazy drawing session!
We want to get to know YOU! Bring your best drawing of the month- the one you feel is your current favorite and be ready to make new friends.
Try a new technique, new colours, new pen , new brush- Have fun and make crazy colourful art at PORTRAITS AFTER DARK people with the OIC crew! Let’s make it fun bring a friend/ soul mate/ family member/ pets and share this edition of “PORTRAITS AFTER DARK” with us! This is where you can meet the most interesting illustrators in Singapore and get your portraits drawn on a Friday night!

Are you an Artist / Illustrator or Doodler!? Come draw with us! Polish your drawing skills & catch up with your OIC buddies at the same time. Everyone gets 20 minutes to draw the “patron/ sitter” at the same time. You get $10 for each drawing sold . Make it PLAYFUL and COLOURFUL, all skill levels welcomed. OIC Portrait Day is about artists having fun and experimenting with new ways to capture an interesting image and making new friends.?You don’t have to be an OIC member to take part but you have to register and please read the FAQ. Come and draw, make friends and spread good drawing vibes.

Artists Registration is S$10/- each

Posting your work for view & sale (compulsory ) is a sign of appreciation to the patron/sitter/ poser .

One hundred trolls

Pigment ink. 135 gsm drawing block.

Stupendous troll, cave troll and three-headed troll. The originals can be found at the One Hundred Trolls blog. This blog is conceived as a thought experiment, a creative exchange for ideas where a hundred trolls of different forms would be envisioned and rendered. From the Wikipedia entry on the mythical being: "In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings.

Making of CLEAR Campaign

Hi Guys, I got some request on my process of creating a character. I tot of doing a simple show and tell.

First off, after getting a brief, I would usually create a series of loose sketches. It’s for me to get the feel and look of the campaign as well as to look into the kind of clothings being donned on the character. Pose is also another key factor as well as some gadgets depending on the setting.

OK. Now for the coloring. Basically it’s done in 6 steps. From a sketch to a refined sketch. Flat colors. Add shadow. Detailing and more fine tuning. It’s the same process as THIS.

P>S: the main thing is always understand the reflectivity of flesh as compared to other materials. Basic 3D lightning fundamentals does apply to digital painting as well : ) peace, B

Every month on a special friday evening – we meet to celebrate Every Sitter, Every Drawer and Every Drawing because they are all very unique!!  We try to feature the face of every participant but I think we still miss a few!
