a birthday sketch, with color brushes entirely from photoshop.
The idea of the illustration is based on a daydream/ idea while jogging- about giant world worms that move around interstitial spaces and swimming into peoples’ fingertips transmitting dreams and stuff – this birthday present was for someone i was trying to explain the concept to.

californian artist evan hecox uses aged textures and a muted palette of colors in such a beautifully dramatic way! looks like his outlines are in indian ink too.

something new to eyeball: rebecca dautremer – french illustrator of children’s books and a newest muse of Kenzo for his flower range. been referencing her warm, rich colors and textures recently – i’d say she works with the colors of imagination. adore!
