The wonderful design is handled by Jasmine from You&Me.  You can drop by Parka’s Blog or Halcyon Realms for a preview on the book.  The book is already on sales in my online store. It’s priced at 32, but i will be selling it at 29.90 during the STGCC event. The event will happens this week , 20 to 21 August at Suntec Singapore. I will be having a booth there. Booth Number G24. Feel free to drop by. And unless anything happen, I should be dropping by Sept 9 for the OIC night portrait event to hang out. Mindflyer’s “RUN, RUN” T-shirt illustration for Adidas’s All24

This is my new illustration to be printed on T-shirts for runners who are participating at the Adidas’s All24 event ( http://www.adidasall24.com/ )

Process

01 – My initial sketch to get approval for the composition. I was aiming for an Escher-ist kind of effect of an triple infinity loop filled with crazy runners.

02 – I have to make sure my key elements stay in the shaded area and make sure my illustration is not too busy under the headline

03-  Colour Test – the brief dictates that the illustration must have a dorminant red colour feel to it. To avoid over doing the red- I used some benday dots to supplement the effect.

Gap x O.I.C collab “Gap’s 0% Plastic Bags” for Earth Day 2011

This is the 3rd year running of the special eco-friendly tote bag produced by Gap to mark Earth Day. The 0% Plastic Bag initiative was started in 2009 to support the global green movement by encouraging customers to use this cotton tote bag in place of disposable plastic bags.

OICsingapore is very proud to be part of this new series for 2011 and to work with the Gap’s Singapore team on this special iconic bag.

There are five new designs this year  by illustrators – Anngee Neo, Fleecircus, Gwee Yin Fei, Mindflyer and Miun. Each illustrator was invited to reinterpret the original design of the bag while maintaining the “0% Plastic” tagline. In addition there is a special store window display designed by MrB aka Ben Qwek ( www.benqwek.com ) to compliment this new collection at the major outlets like Wisma and Vivocity.

This limited edition collection will be launched on Earth Day -22 April- in all Gap stores. Each bag is available at S$5 with purchase of any GAP merchandise.

This project is another effort by OICsingapore to partner with good brands and showcase/ promote the usage of interesting illustrators and illustration.
