Had the privilege to work with the &Larry’s team for a new year end promo at Takashimaya’s iForum. Super fun job illustrating my imaginary super fun playground. This is a variation of my earlier work- “Children’s World” but at a more crazy level! Don’t ask me what I eat, I just DRAW !
Its an illustration magazine featuring alot of work processes as well as works from mainly japanese artists.
The kind of works are mainly MOE. Its only up to volume 5 now but seems to be pretty popular due to the funky look and very detailed tutorials and making-of.
We were invited to the special event for HP’s TouchPad launch at the Klapsons The Boutique Hotel on 26th July. Due to the smaller space allocated to us – we have to be very selective and handpick 12 “spartans”/artists to show the crowd what a portrait event by OIC is all about!
We had a wonderful time pleasing the crowd! First time we had such an intense 1 to 1 kind of session and we were very pleased that even our new comers Xin Nie and Sharon took the challenge very well! There were also many queries about OIC and what we do.
We hope to do more such sessions especially with brands like HP that believes in giving local talents opprotunities to shine.
Thanks to Hsu Wei and the HP team, Pat Law and the GoodStuph crew , Edelman, PMG Asia and of course our specially handpicked team from OIC that make this event fun and memorable!
As you all know by now, Adidas’ launching their biggest campaign ever. Yes, u’ve seen the advert, the one with Katy Perry haha~slurp. So here’s something I did: all football. Other local artist were involved as well: Sheryo, Clog2, Mindflyer, Eeshaun, etc…peace, B

My contribution for a new series by Kult magazine on strange facts about animals. The fact I have chosen is “A snail can even go over a razor blade without getting hurt!”
The snail is a fascinating creature to me, the way it moves , the strange antennae and the mobile home on its back! For this piece- I want to make the snail like some nocturnal alien from space, showing off its magic over a razor. Thanks to Kult magazine crew! You can see more of my work at www.mindflyer.com.
A very special and well made interview video by Foo Wen Xin and crew from SIN TV. This is the best video I have seen about OIC Portrait Day! Thanks SIN TV!
here’s a fashion illustration that i was recently commissioned to do for GODDESS CHAMBRE, a shoes bags and accessories boutique. everything i love! the client also let me draw anything i wanted so i just experimented a little away from my usual style. the only thing my client asked was to have an illustrated girl to be the face of Goddess Chambre. the artwork was also adapted for a 2fold business card design, which i designed as well.
linework and colouring done in illustrator, then ported to photoshop to make it pop more with loose highlights and shadows.

Ola OIC! This is my very first post on here… so pardon any awkwardness please?
I’m Nataliette and I’m a designer who likes to draw. I do mainly digital illustrations as I seldom like to get my hands dirty, but occasionally I do enjoy rubbing charcoal on paper. My most revered idols would be Salvador Dali and Oscar Wilde.
Here’s some of my old work done during artschool and secretly doodling when I was supposed to be listening to my lecturers…
DESPERATION FOR A MUSE by nataliette. charcoal on paper, 2005.
RE CYCL ED LOVE by nataliette. markers and ink on sketchbook, 2006.
THEY WERE CRYING WHEN THEIR SONS LEFT by nataliette. ink on sketchbook, 2006.
REACHING FOR THE COOKIE JAR by nataliette, 2007. pencil and ink on sketchbook.
Sometimes when I feel jaded or completely uninspired, I like to flip through my old sketchbooks and kind of travel back in time to reopen the eyes of that naivete and enthusiastic younger artist in me.
My recent artistic ventures are much much different from those now (and I realise, quite sadly, that these are much less varied).
Here are some little samples.
You can see more of my work in my portfolio or at my blog. Pleased to meet you!
While all the adults pitying and worrying the future of the one eye kid. We seems forgotten that the kid is enjoying a different colourful dream with his blind eye. No matter good or bad dreams life will still go on.
This is a long due post for Michael and everyone at OIC.
First and foremost, Happy Birthday OIC … CONGRATULATIONS to Michael, FleeCircus, San San, Twisstii, Andrew and those I haven’t met or got the name yet, but who has been working so hard on OIC, promoting illustrators from Singapore. Thank you and give each one of you a big round of applause. You guys rock!
Also congratulations to all of the participants of A6/Future show. Excellent work. So much energy in each piece.
Secondly, just want to let you know that Guai Wu The Chinese Elf, the picture book that I have been working on for the longest time, is finally out!
I have a launch for kids this Sunday (4th October) at Borders Book Parkway at 2pm and would like to invite all of you to come and join me and my writer Adeline Foo. Lee Kowling, another children’s book illustrator-friend will be hosting her event for her picture book Georgette’s Mooncake and The Beaded Slippers, written by the same author, this Saturday (3rd October) at Borders Book Wheelock at 2pm.
Thanks to Michael and FleeCircus again for advising on the colour scans. I have lots to learn from the two masters.
We encourage illustrators to connect, collaborate, share, exchange news/tips and inspire by sharing here.
Please feel free to post your new work, ideas and inspirations.
